Children at the Meeting

SETAC recognises the demands faced by scientists navigating the balance between work–life commitments. As a result, children under the age of 18 will be allowed in all meeting areas. Please note, children must be under direct supervision of their parents/nannies at all times. Parents recognise that this is a professional meeting and that our exhibitors bring expensive and valuable equipment to the meeting, and parents are held responsible for any damages their children may cause. Please note that damages caused by children are not covered by the event insurance. SETAC reserves the right to ask parents/nannies to remove the child from the meeting. All children need to be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Children are not allowed to attend the Welcome Reception on Sunday (due to Irish law and restrictions for public events where alcohol is being served)

All children need to be registered– please add them to your registration. Children that are not registered, and therefore will not have a badge, are not allowed to access any rooms, the exhibition hall, etc.

0 – 4 years                  registration required – no costs

5 – 17 years                registration required – guest badge – 50€

Baby changing facilities are available in the congress centre. If you need any other facilities, please contact us before the meeting.

You can bring your own nanny or your partner to the meeting to look after your child(ren). Nannies pay a fee of 50€ to enter the meeting and need to be registered in advance. They will receive a special badge. For your child, the same rules as mentioned above are applicable. You can register your nanny by sending an e-mail to:
